RACING YACHT FOR CHARTER IN ASIA (THAILAND)

Sail in Asia will be running two yacht racing courses in December 2008 with Olympic Coach Adam Bowers

The Race courses will be taught in Phuket Thailand. There wil be two courses An Advanced Racing Skills Course and a Learn to Race a Yacht Course.

  Learn to race for beginners

You learn how to work as a cohesive member of a team responding to the calls of the slapper tactician or team manager.
By Course end you will be able to

  • Hoist all the major sails on a boat
  • Work the winches on the boat
  • Trim Sails
  • Understand terminology and some tactics in a race
  • Chang sails efficieatly
  • Have a range of new skills
  • Understand the nature of a race
Your instructor
Your instructor has years of experience coaching sailors of all levels of skill. They will encourage you to slowly aaquire new skills, understanding and technique to enable you to become a proficient member of a racing yacht.
Your instructors will give you tuition in the class room as well as on the water. They will use a variety of media to get across the message! Their main aim is to make this racing course fun as well as useful.
